Remember the saying, “wherever you go, there you are?
This song is sweet reminder that you are exactly where you’re meant to be, to really be, where you are.
Why does 20something me seem clearer than today me though?
I think it’s because our optimism, our idealism is at its peak in those years. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not jaded now. More seasoned, strategic, maybe.
Digging through the crates and rediscovering jewels like the ones Tom Hammer and I have come across are a blessing. Like my yellow bird, gifting me messages from another time and place, these songs re-emerge right now for a reason.
